Things have been insane here, and I have been so busy that the mere thought of blogging hasn’t crossed my mind in a while. I finally found a second to myself though to give you a quick update on things.
1. The Z man is most certainly allergic to eggs. The doctor said he is moderatly allergic and to avoid all things with eggs in them until his 1 year appointment. I researched a bit and found that since he is still breastfeeding, I should give them up too. And so far- I have failed miserably at it. And I feel horrible about that. I vow to do better though, because I don’t want to hurt his chances of outgrowing this. I just have to lay off the cookies and baked things at playgroup. And miracle whip…GOD I love Miracle Whip…
2. Business is BOOMING! I am taking a leap of faith (with Super-daddy’s gentle pushing) and putting it all on the line. I just sent in the paper work to form Rockin Green, LLC. I secured a discount bulk shipping rate from FedEX, and set up an account to start buying the laundry detergent ingredients in 50 pound sacks. I estimate right now I am going through about 200 pounds of just ONE of the ingredients.
I can’t even begin to tell you the kind of knot my stomach is in right now. I am terrified and excited all at the same time!

It’s been a long, busy weekend so I decided to make it an easy night dinner wise and make pancakes and sausage. We cooked up a couple dozen pancakes and sat down for dinner. I tore up one into bite size pieces for Z and he happily gummed it into submission. When I went to wipe his face, I noticed he was splotchy. Over the course of an hour or so, the hives were worse. I go put him in the bathtub and noticed that his diaper area was red as well now, as was his belly and legs.
1/2 tsp of benadryl later and he looks like this:
But I now have to figure out if he is indeed allergic to something in the mix- and my biggest hunch right now is the egg.
