I just realized that I missed my own blog-iversary. This month makes 2 years of Super-Mommy and Spitup Boy! This blog, has become such an integral part of my life, it’s hard to remember a time when I wasn’t blogging. And it’s seems so strange to go back and read past blogs, when I obsessed over things that seem so simple now…

So today, I want to ask that everyone go back and check out a blog or two from the very beginning… highlights if you will. For a little bit of insight into how it all got started…

Why Mommy Needs Duct Tape

Sleep position woes

Thanks for being there and supporting me through it all! I can’t express how much it means to me to know you are out there reading this.

I am calling it….

It’s officially been 2 weeks since we started our potty training adventure, and I am now comfortable enough to call it. We are now pooping and peeing in the potty each and every time, and able to hold it or tell us when we are out in public. SUB pretty much goes on his own, and calls me afterward to do the potty dance of joy with him. LOL

Playgroups may still be touchy (we have a second trial run tomorrow) but when we are home or running errands, it’s 100% big boy undies. I haven’t had to clean the carpet in a week!

Of course it’s bittersweet, because I love my diapers. But I will have another butt to diaper in just a 3 short months, so right now I am perfectly content to wash fewer loads of laundry, and watch his cute little elmo covered butt run around the house as only a big boy can.

So after our setback the other day at playgroup, we had a really good day yesterday. Our first accident free day! Yippeee! One of the not so pleasant side effects of our new found potty freedom is that SUB now wakes up earlier in the morning because he has to pee.

This morning I was woken up at 7:30 (as opposed to the 9:30 he usually wakes up) to SUB screaming “MOMMY! MOMMY!”

I run in there, and he is in his bed with his diaper off.

Hey Baby! What happened?

Mommy I sleep good…..need pee pee and cereal.

Well, ok then….let’s get going!

He knows what he wants I guess. LOL

  • Just stick me under a rock…

So we went to our first playgroup in underwear. Not so good. It was bad enough that I knew he had to pee before he left the house, but he down right refused. We fought over it for about 30 minutes before I finally gave up and put him in the car. I should have just took the hint right there and kept our butt home.

He peed his pants twice. He was too caught up in playing he refused to stop. I kept asking him if he had to pee “no pee pee Mommy.” Once in the bathroom after he got his wet undies taken off he would say  “I sorry Mommy, I pee pee now…” and then he would go in the potty. I finally gave up after the second accident.

I just want to hide under a rock for a while.
